For a soft, cosy kind of homecoming
650 TC Egyptian cotton·Sateen weave·Raatrani
- What it is
Cotton grown in Egypt, woven into a smooth sateen fabric. Egyptian describes where the cotton comes from; sateen describes how the threads are woven together.
- What you feel, and why
In a sateen weave, threads pass over several others before weaving back in. This creates a smoother surface with a gentle sheen. Our 650 TC fabric has a substantial, softly draping feel.
- Why it belongs in Raatrani
We chose it for the comforting feeling of getting into bed and settling in. Smooth against your skin, with a little more weight around you.
- Choose this if
You love soft, enveloping sheets and prefer a gentle sheen to a matte finish.
For a silky, easy end to the day
400 TC TENCEL™ Lyocell·Rajnigandha
- What it is
TENCEL™ is a brand of fibre. The Lyocell fibres in this fabric are made from wood-derived cellulose, which is processed into fibres and then woven into cloth.
- What you feel, and why
The fibres have a smooth surface, giving the fabric a soft, silky touch. They also absorb moisture, helping support a drier feeling against your skin. Our fabric falls fluidly around you.
- Why it belongs in Rajnigandha
We chose it for its smooth, cool-to-the-touch feeling and easy drape. A lovely fit for a collection built around feeling cool and comfortable.
- Choose this if
You enjoy silky sheets that move with you, particularly if you often feel warm in bed.
For that freshly made bed feeling
220 TC Indian cotton·Percale weave·Nargis
- What it is
Cotton grown in India, woven in a simple one-thread-over, one-thread-under pattern. That weave is called percale.
- What you feel, and why
The evenly interlaced threads create a matte finish and a crisp feel. Our 220 TC percale feels light and airy, with more structure than the flowing drape of sateen.
- Why it belongs in Nagris
We chose it for that fresh, hotel-bed feeling. Clean, crisp cotton that feels inviting at the end of a long day.
- Choose this if
You love breathable cotton, a matte finish and sheets with a little crispness.
A little more, if you're curious
Is a higher thread count always better?
Thread count tells you how many threads are woven into a square inch of fabric. It doesn’t tell you everything about how a sheet feels. The fibre, yarn and weave matter too. Our three thread counts are different because the fabrics are designed to feel different.
What’s the difference between a fibre and a weave?
The fibre is what the fabric is made from, such as cotton or Lyocell. The weave is how the threads are arranged, such as percale or sateen. Both help shape how your sheets feel.
How do I look after my sheets?
A little care goes a long way. Follow the instructions for your particular fabric to help keep it feeling its best.
